Iโm sure you have plenty of things to do, so here are three somethings I kept track of for you:
๐ Something to plan around
If youโre driving downtown on Bannock Street, youโll literally have to plan around the Idaho Cider Fest on Saturday. Itโs Meriwether Cider Co.โs annual festival, and itโs a good time. Itโs always fun when a stretch of a downtown street is closed off for an event, which Bannock will be between 8th and 9th Streets for the afternoon. The festival itself is free, and drinks are available via a token system, which you can buy now.
โฝ Something to catch before the season ends
โAthletic Club Boise only has three more home games in their inaugural season: This Wednesday, then this Saturday, and the final game on Saturday, Oct. 17. Itโs been a record-breaking and massively successful opening season for professional soccer in Boise, and earlier this month the club announced it would be moving up to Division II pro soccer, in the USL Championship league, for the 2027 season.
๐ Something to buy ahead of time
Halloween is on a Saturday (the next such occasion will be in 2037), and if you donโt have plans already, seeing the โRocky Horror Picture Showโ will be extra special this year following the passing of late great Tim Curry, a.k.a. Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Every year, a local cast of drag and burlesque performers put together a show at the Egyptian Theatre, complete with a costume competition and audience callouts. If youโve never seen it and youโre ready for a lewd, ludicrous, and lovely spectacle, come see what The Criminologist promises to be a strange journey. Floor tickets are $35, balcony tickets are $25, and the show is 18+.
